Evidence without asking

An operating system for Australian R&D tax advisory firms.

Built for the Australian R&D Tax Incentive, Flusso R&D Tax Platform connects directly to each claimant's source systems (GitHub, Xero, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Confluence) and turns claim preparation from a six-week evidence-reconstruction slog into a three-week contemporaneous-evidence review.

The environment

Review arrives years after registration.

Under the Australian R&D Tax Incentive, self-assessment means registration settles nothing: AusIndustry and the ATO can examine a claim long after the offset is paid, and the ATO’s transparency report now puts claimed expenditure in public view. What survives review is a contemporaneous record tying registered activities to evidence and expenditure. When that record is thin, senior staff rebuild it at the firm’s cost, with the firm’s own reasonable-care obligation under the TASA code in play.

The wedge

Contemporaneous evidence, automatically

Five integrations feed the evidence pipeline directly. No retroactive questionnaires. Every AI-drafted Knowledge Area cites specific commits, invoices, or documents with timestamps. Audit-defensible by default.

Adviser-firm native

Book of business, not single-claim tool

Your firm is the tenant, not an afterthought. One console covers the entire portfolio: every claimant, lifecycle stage, deadline and open RFI, with claims, metrics, billing, branding and the firm playbook in the same navigation.

AusIndustry-tuned

Authored for Division 355, not adapted to it

Registration triage, four-element screening, software exclusion detection, dominant-purpose checks and red-flag language rules are tuned to ITAA 1997 Div 355 and current AusIndustry guidance, not retrofitted from US Section 41 logic.

Why firms trust Flusso R&D Tax Platform

Built with practising advisers
Shaped in consultation with senior practising Australian R&D tax advisers, and built for the advisory firm from day one.
60–70% pre-built by filing time
Contemporaneous evidence accrues as your clients build, not reconstructed at deadline.
Audit-trail native
Every AI-drafted Knowledge Area cites the commit, invoice, or document behind it.

How it works

  1. Triage eligibility before anything is registered

Registration triage opens every engagement: a guided assessment records a verdict against the statutory tests and exclusions, and organises activities into audit-ready projects under partner attestation.

  2. Evidence accrues as your clients build

Five source-system connectors (GitHub, Xero, Google Drive, OneDrive, Confluence) feed the pipeline directly, and every evidence item is linked to the registered activities it supports.

  3. Your firm authors the claim, in one desk

AI drafts each Knowledge Area with citations; your advisers review, refine, and approve across the whole book of business from a single console. Core and supporting activities stay human-authored.

  4. File, and answer review from the record

AusIndustry-tuned checks run as you author, the registration pack exports in portal question order, and per-claim audit bundles make a review letter a retrieval job, not a rebuild.

The client portal, under your firm's branding. Shown with synthetic demonstration data.

Two sides of the desk

A claimant who knows the next step.

The claimant lands on a plain sentence: your claim is ready to look at, built by your firm. Flusso AI suggests Knowledge Areas from their documents; the claimant reviews the suggestions, then adds what only they know. A “do this next” list works through connecting data sources and confirming the statutory tests, with a progress meter counting every step done.

The claim carries your firm’s name throughout, and the record accrues where your firm can see it, all year.

Response

When the letter comes, retrieve rather than rebuild.

Per-claim audit bundles export full event trails and evidence provenance chains with tamper-evident SHA-256 and HMAC manifests, built for long-term retention. The registration pack exports in AusIndustry portal question order with portal-fit checks, and a firm-wide gap finder shows where substantiation is thin across the book before it matters. What senior staff add is eligibility judgement; the platform carries the rest.

The return

What the platform gives back to the firm.

Throughput
Hours reclaimed from reconstruction become hours preparing the next claim.
Quality
Playbook rules and structured authoring lift every claim in the book.
Connection
The claimant’s evidence accrues in your workspace, under your brand, all year.
Renewal
No challenger matches that record without starting the claimant from zero.
